word of advice to those organising a party.. prepare way in advance.. party deco takes longer then expected.. lol :P
friday.. mummy picked me from school and we went to the concourse to get party deco.. went back.. took a nap.. totally concussed due to the 4 hour sleep i had the nite b4.. burning mambo music for the party.. doodling on my guestbook.. writing up my pack list.. charging hp, cam etc.. basically pre party prep...
awoke 2 hours later to start packing up all my stuff n den heading down to the chalet.. mummy was busy preparing all the BBQ stuff in the afternoon.. she's more zai den me.. lol.. so settled down.. started the fire n soon my relatives came.. forgot to take pictures with them.. *shucks*.. but yeah it was a nice lil get together.. wanni audrey n shuya came too :) so at about 10 or so my relatives left.. and the deco started.. korkor n kris helped pumped balloons.. (yes they were the ones who created the lovely balloon stairs..) whilst me n the gurls started on the putting up some deco.. the lamps, the curly wurly spirals, the streamers.. sounds like easy work.. but no.. by the time that was done.. it was already 1am.. korkor, kris n daddy went home about midnite.. leaving all the ladies in the chalet.. i chased mummy off to bed b4 heading down to mustafa with the gurls to get more deco stuff.. yes we were lacking in quite a bit of things..
the nite drive to mustafa was fun.. all 4 of us in my shiny baby 6.. :) and we saw many trans along changi village! haha exciting or wad!!!! exploration of mustafa was quite the adventure.. haha haven been to ah neh land b4!!! picked up stufs we needed.. n i even found a boa! heh so fun.. spent like 40 bucks there.. so back we went to the chalet and it was 3am.. shuya dearie drew n cut out the letters for 'the party's here' sign board.. while wanni fell asleep.. lol.. me n audrey did the colourful letters that spelt J-E-N.. and we cut out colourful cellophane paper to be pasted over the lights.. creating the ultimate retro effect.. haha all of us concussed about 5 plus..
the BIG day: us gurls woke up at 10 coz wanni's mummy came to fetch.. n pass mi the agar-agar.. (it's so so pretty! :) ) wanted to invite aunty in for coddee but she had to rush off.. aud n shuy stayed back to help mi complete the deco.. grandma, erlene and mummy helped with the balloons.. and mi aud n shuya pasted the cellophane over the lights, put up the retro beaded cutrains, my name and the purple board.. we den started on the balloon arch at the main door.. goodness knows how mani balloons burst in our faces.. the lousy ah-neh brand.. blahz...
and.. pretty pink flowers came in the morning!!!! from sq baby!!! :) heh.. thanks dearie.. they're like the loveliest flowers i've ever received!!!!
at about 1pm.. the deco was FINALLY done.. n i sent shuya n aud out to tampines mall.. here comes the story of the MAD rider.. there's this crazy guy who tailgated me.. so close his whole face took up my whole mirror!!! like wtf.. want to die also not like that rite.. considering i was going bout 90 along loyang ave.. if i braked a lil.. that guy will fly man!! urgh.. cant stand such people.. after 'diao'ing him goodness-knows-how-many times.. i released my accelerator.. letting my speed drop to 60 or so.. forcing him to overtake me.. which in the end he finally did.. omg.. what kinda people are these?? come out from army camp den wan to die already lar.. relaxing lar!
so anyway dropped the girls, picked mummy up from changi village n headed back to the chalet for lunch.. mummy went back home to get stuff.. i took a short nap.. when i woke the lovely balloon arch was gone!! :( the stupid heat from the sun burst almost all the balloons! urgh.. quickly went to buy more balloons.. the caterer came.. settled it on my own as mummy wasnt back yet.. sigh.. when mummy was back.. she helped mi put up balloons at the bus stop and we put up the signage too (courtesy of audrey babe).. once all this was done.. i went to take a shower.. maki was the earliest! followed by xuan jie.. den shuya n wanni came.. den daniel daniel.. eunice n siying came.. caleb.. diving buddies.. n the rest just streamed in about 8.. weijie came.. which was a lovely surprise for me as he told me he's not coming.. aniwae if u're reading this.. wj.. i hope u're feeling better.. dec told me about it.. *hugz* cheer up k! :)
was busy all nite long fluttering from group to group.. entertaining my frens.. hope i wasnt such a lousy host.. n hope you all enjoyed urselves! :) thanks to those who were like eh relax babe.. sit down n rest.. heh..
cake cutting was quite the experience.. smiled for dunno how mani photos.. from sentosa vball frens to tao nan to cedar to veejay to nus life sci babes to diving frens to BLAST! peeps.. haha but it was great fun.. i felt like a star.. everyone lurved the choc fudge cake! :P couldnt really eat the cake in peace though.. haha but thanks william for holding my cake for me..
my blast frens switched off the lights and started boogeying inside the chalet.. n my funky mama joined in the action too!! haha i obviously wasnt spared.. was sabo-ed to perform my mambo moves standing on the chair.. bleahz.. den i had 'special' performances by jackjack n mr kong.. haha hilarious or wad.. my blast peeps just made the party a whole lot more happening!! :P
people started to leave about 11 plus.. finally got the chance to sit down n play indian poker with my life sci girls n a few diving frens n a few blast frens at like 1am.. heh da-ed a cup of baileys with adam kor n another vodka vanilla with daniel daniel.. opened all my pressies too! indian poker was changed to heart attack.. haha super fun or wad.. someone tried hitting me but ended up hitting the table damn hard.. haha lol.. but it was damn fun lar.. hee.. dawn, adam n jon were the last to leave.. jo n daniel stayed over.. packed up n finally showered.. twas 5am.. yet again.. haha daniel concussed on his bed.. whilst me n jo squeezing on the other were talking n catching up.. :P
thanks to all my frens who called to wish me happy birthday and also for all the bdae sms-es.. haha :) esp to those whom i barely keep in contact with n still bothered to sms.. *big big smile* im glad im still existent in ur lives.. heh
in the morning.. woke up n mi n jo took pictures of all my pressies! hee so fun!! *daniel was still concussing in the room* lol.. it rained all day long.. but mummy said it's good.. showers of blessing.. indicating God raining down His love for me.. and for that moment.. i smiled..
went to church n had family dinner.. den came the biggest shock.. i received an ipod nano~ my goodness.. i finally own one!! though it's white.. n i realli realli realli wanted the black one.. but cant change also lar.. no stock! :( sob.. so i guess i'll just have to make do with this.. heh but really thanks.. i really appreciate the kind gesture.. :)
so that sums up my bdae celebration.. :) received 2 more pressies along the way.. from godma and also from huiwen babe!!
im 21 n i dun feel old.. still the playful small lil gurl that i've always been.. lol.. halfway thru to turning 42.. lol.. look out for me den.. one more RETRO party when im 42 coming ur way!!! hahahahhahaa
